70.      REGULATIONS THAT ADMINISTER SMALL BUSINESSES*

To ask the Minister of Trade, Industry and Small Businesses to present regulations that govern the operations of Small Businesses that trade in liquor.

  • Which mechanisms are utilized by the Ministry to ensure that the above mentioned businesses operate within the confines of the law and that they safeguard the welfare of communities where they operate.

75.     REGISTRATION OF FIREARMS

To ask the Minister of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs and Police the following questions on the Police newscasts for all legal guns to be re-registered;

  • How many firearms are lawfully in the hands of the people as of now;
  • How many legally registered firearms have been involved in crimes in the past two (2) years;
  • Which new steps and conditions are sought from people who want to apply for permits to own firearms.
  • What kind of basic training is required for issuance of firearms.

76.     RECONSTRUCTION OF THE COLLAPSED BRIDGE ALONG RIBANENG TO GRIFFITHS AND HA LEBONA ROAD

To ask the Minister for Public Works and Transport whether he is aware of the collapsed bridge along Ribaneng Ha Griffith to Ha Lebona road.

If the Minister is aware, when will the Minister expedite reconstructing the bridge which has been causing safety concerns for months.

          77.     RECONSTRUCTION OF FOOT BRIDGES

To ask the Minister for Public Works and Transport if he is aware of the need to reconstruct foot bridges that connect the following villages:

  • Ha Ramabanta to Thabo Letsie,
  • Ha Mabejane to Thusong Kubake,
  • Ha Koenyane, Ha Nts’upe to Ha Rabamanta,
  • Ha Mpheu Liseleng to Ha Motaba,
  • Malealea and Ha Griffith
  • Ha Griffith to Ha Lebona

If the Minister is aware, how soon shall foot bridges connecting these villages be reconstructed.

78.    ELECTRIFICATION AT HARAMABANTA TO HA MANTS’A AND THE SURROUNDING VILLAGES

To ask the Minister for Energy, when will the Minister commit to connecting electricity at Ha Ramabanta to Ha Mants’a and the surrounding villages.

79.     ENLIGHTENMENT ON YOUTH CENTRES

To ask the Minister of Youth the following questions in regard to operators of Youth Centres:

  • How many Youth Centres have been built across the country;
  • What was the rationale behind development of such Centres;
  • Are there guidelines for administration of such Centres;
  • Could the Minister enlighten the Honourable House on the services offered at these Centres;
  • Are there civil servants who guide operations of these Centres, and how many per Centre.
